Caring for your security system makes sure it cares for you!

Why Should I Have My Mezuzahs Checked?

Constant temperature and weather changes, as well as age, may cause the Mezuzah ink to fade and crack. tHIS WOULD INVALIDATE YOUR mEZUZAH THUS COMPROMISING ON YOUR SECURITY.

A Mezuzah should be examined by a reliable scribe, at least twice every seven years - once every three and a half years.

The Mezuzah must be hand-written by a competent scribe on specially prepared parchment with the specific types of quill and ink mandated by tradition. Only an expert scribe can determine if a Mezuzah is Kosher because the laws of the Mezuzah are very complex with many details and specifications.

How Do I Send My Mezuzahs to a Sofer (Scribe)?

Fill out the form below and a representative of Chabad will make a free house call and visit your home to bring in your Mezuzot for checking. We will send them to a Sofer – a Scribe- who can do a thorough professional letter checking.
